I’m tired of these half-assed athletes who aren’t prepared to go all the way for their sport.
I want super human achievement. If that takes enough anabolic steroids to risk death and disfigurement and derangement, then so be it.
Why fight it? Why mask it? If there’s a way for you to outperform your competitor, then go for it.
You don’t need a stadium, a village and all the cost and infrastructure of the typical olympic games. You can shoot the whole thing high def green screen. You can light it, foley it, grade it for maximum drama. Algorithms for creating crowds are a dime a dozen. Viewers from around the world can upload their headshots to be part of the swarming crowds.
Pitch one country against another, one religion against another, one brand against another. Do a good enough job and you could probably replace war. (Which will be even more rewarding than the international broadcast rights.)
