Word up, down and across
If a picture is worth a thousands words, then what’s a word worth?
A thousand pictures? A million sentiments? How many emotions can a thousand words elicit?
Words are the easiest way to make a picture come to life. Consider the typical manpower, technology, time, patience, money, talent, hair, makeup, lighting, blocking, dressing, money, building, moving, staging, money, rehearsing, acting, producing, directing is needed to bring a script to life. (And the money? Did I mention the money?)
It’s easier and faster (and probably more effective) to leave the script alone. So the pictures come to life in the reader’s mind.
How can the reader become the audience? How can the reading experience become a shared experience?
Should it be shared?
Can it be social?
