Drawing changes your mind

One of the good things about drawing is that it forces you to look at things.

Really look at things. Not glimpse without a second thought. Not look without seeing. But really pay attention.

The form, the light, the colors, the spaces in between. By taking attention off you (I know, I know) and onto something else, something shifts.

It probably doesn’t feel profound but it is. By focusing attention you’re using different areas of your mind, different ways of thinking.

Different possibilities open up.
