Orson Welles: The underage girl

During the opening week of “Citizen Kane,” a policeman approaches Welles one night and tells him not go to his hotel suite tonight.

Hearst has set up an undressed, underage girl to leap into his arms when he enters and a photographer to take pictures. Hearst is planning to publish it in all of his papers.

Welles thanks the policeman and stays out all night.
