What have we wrought?

People in Silicon Valley are mourning what they’ve created.

The collective downgrading of humans, and the upgrading of machines, are causing far-reaching effects on society.

We’re becoming less focused, less rational, less compassionate. Our negativity bias causes media platforms to push negativity and extremism.

Our negativity bias evolved as a biological and physiological default to ensure our survival. But this bias has outlived its usefulness.

Unless we move beyond this bias it will be the death of us.
